Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game; 4vs1 developed by Behavior Digital Inc. One player takes on the role of the Killer and the remaining players are the Survivors. The objective of the game is to start generators in order to open the exit door. While doing so, the Survivors have to run and hide from the Killer to avoid being caught, tortured, and killed.
The gameplay of Dead by Daylight is interesting because the Survivors play in third person, which allows them a larger field of view. The Killer, on the other hand, is playing in first person. While this has a smaller field of view, it allows the Killer to focus on their victim.
The Survivors’ main objective is to escape the level through the exit door; there are two in each level, depicted as metal gates. In order to open the doors, the players must repair a minimum of four generators, that are scatter throughout the level. The Survivors can also complete secondary missions, called “Daily Rituals.” These mission reward the player with Bloodpoints, which players can spend to upgrade and progress their skill tree, called the Bloodweb. This system is the same for the Killer.

Survivors also have chests throughout the level they can search through. This is not a necessity, but it could have item make it easier or provide aid to the Survivors in the next match.
The Killer’s main objective is to stop the survivors. The player has a hammer-like weapon in one have and a chainsaw in the other. When the player attack one of the Survivors, he/she is able to pick the player up, once the Survivor is on the ground, find one of the Meat Hooks found in the level, and hang the player on it. This is the main tool used by the Killer. If the Survivor is left on the Meat Hook for a certain period of time, since other Survivors can help them down, the Entity will appear and devour the Survivor.

This game has great replay ability because the layout of the Killing Ground changes every time you play the game. This allows the players to have a new experience during each gameplay session. This allows removes any sense of memorizing the layout of the Killing Ground area.
