Long Live the Queen is a visual novel, role playing game, or RPG, developed by Hanako Games. The game starts out with the princess of the kingdom, Elodie, who is fourteen, being told her mother, the Queen, has died and she will start her training to become the next Queen.
The player chooses the classes in which the character takes, two in the morning and two in the evening. This increases the statistics of the princess, however, there are not enough days to increase all the stats fully. The player must strategically choose the different skills they want to increase by the time the princess is to be crowned the queen. Later in the story, the princess gets a relic that allows her to perform magic, which belonged to her mother.
With this, the player also has to choose options for different scenarios that might show up. For example, one of the first scenarios is the princess’ friend is having a party and the player must choose to either risk going to the party and possibly getting hurt or dying, or they can play it safe and sent a present to the party, but stay at the castle to keep taking classes and raising the skills. There is also a customization aspect, which is unlocking different outfits for the princess.

Neighboring kingdom will also be aggressive towards the princess since they want to have more power for their kingdom. An example of this would be the other kings trying to court the princess for their son.
There are 24 endings that can be found through different paths in the visual novel. When unlocked, the endings are depicted as stained glass windows. When trying to unlock all the endings, some of the people the player meets in the story have different effects on the story, some of the ending you must cut ties with people.

There are also places, in the castle, the player can go to. Going to certain areas will increase the princess’ mood and this will help the player while going to classes. When the princess is in a better mood, the player gains more experience from the classes and it will help in the long run when the days run out.
