Symphony is an action, shoot ‘em up game developed by Empty Clip Studios. The game uses the music in your library and they are captured by an evil, mysterious entity. The entity corrupts your music in game and you must battle your song collection in order to free them and reclaim the songs.

Throughout the game you are playing as a ship that shoots out bullets and lasers. You discover items that help upgrade the ammunition of you ship as will as customize it. The battles differ from song to song because the intensity of the battle are driven by the tempo.

Each song you play hold an item the player can use to upgrade and equip to the ship. The game is played as a vertical shooter as the player uses the mouse to control the movement of the ship and the left and right mouse buttons are used for shooting the different weapons the player’s ship is equipped with. There is also an option for the player to use a controller.

As player defeat enemies, they enemy ships will explode and drop music notes. This is how the player regain their health and fix their ship during battle. The players lose health if they either get hit by enemy attack or run into their ships. As the player takes damage they lose their weapons and they need to regain health to get those weapons back.

There are music sheets the player collects while they reclaim songs. After each music sheet is filled the player encounters a boss when the next song is selected. There are currently five bosses the player must defeat, six difficulty levels, and more than 30 achievement the player can unlock.

Overall, the game is fun and engaging and lets the player re-experience their music in a different way. Players now fight against their song collection in a unique battlefield arena in order to liberate their song library.
